Hello again, I'm in the process of restarting my 810, 6 spd injection build for my z650
https://www.750turbo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=17765
the injector rail & injectors are from a gpz 1100 & using a 5v dc power source I can only get 2 of the injectors to fire, I am unsure as to the age of ...

Re: Schematic of 750 Turbo WITH DIMENSIONS
Yes Lorcan, a compressor map. Below is an example of the small Mitsubishi TD025 that I've been tinkering with. Small for a litre boxer engine but excellent response and very reasonable top end.
I actually sent a request to Mitsubishi years ago and got a response from one of there engineers with ...

Re: Schematic of 750 Turbo WITH DIMENSIONS
Those are helpful documents.
Anyone have a performance map of the stock turbo?
That is actually what is needed in order to suss out the engine behaviour and any alternate ECU controller tuning efforts.

Re: Oil Check Valve
I use a similar "low cracking psi" type check valve, which is also oil compatible and 3/8fpt each end (I suspect was a Parker product).
That is however on a different platform (BMW airhead engine), but with turbo having a similar low mount and a scavenge pump for the drain back to sump. Simpler is ...

Re: MicroSquirt, BMW's, and Turbocharging
just as clarification, in an earlier post i said i thought the ignition sensors on our bikes where hall effect type ,i was mistaken , they are actually VR (variable reluctance ) sensors.
they will still interface with mega/microsquirt fairly easily . i will edit my earlier comment :thumbup

Re: Another Day at the Dyno and Further Problems
Not really clear on how your set up provides for logging etc. but you mentioned the plugs looked "lean". That wouldn't jive with the afr readings on the bottom chart of your dyno run where it seems things are staying nice and rich? (although a plug chop can be misleading depending on how long ...

Re: MicroSquirt, BMW's, and Turbocharging
My older (& cheaper) V2 version of MicroSquirt actually has two separate injector circuits that can have fuel delivery individually tailored to conditions ( multiple injectors on each). The BMW boxer engine doesn't really have imbalance issues hence I've not bothered to engage with playing with it ...

Re: MicroSquirt, BMW's, and Turbocharging
One of the squirters over on MS had a comment on engines of similar design to the Kawasaki- a Suzuki 750, that I am not at all sure applies but will mention for the fun of it.

Re: MicroSquirt, BMW's, and Turbocharging
So, there are several ways to go on this. It is apparent that the stock Hall sensors will jive with the MS to do "Fuel Only" control - direct plug'n play. Of course you need a wide band O2 sensor to make heads and tails of AFR's, but with that, and a VE table for fueling "auto-generated", and then ...

Re: MicroSquirt, BMW's, and Turbocharging
Lucky me, on vacation with the family and have lots of time to sneak onto the forums here.
Below I am going to paste clip an excerpt from the DIYA site having to do with adding a controller "piggyback" fashion onto an existing system. For reasons of "maximum potential" I recommend going right to ...

I hadn't noted the above posts and comments, as have been somewhat off line. (well, cleaning things up at work so that our family can do a weeks vacation without significant bother of office phone calls :beer )

Megasquirt sounds kind of Mickey Mouse - don't let that fool you into thinking its lower affordable price comes at the expense of results - below a link to some Salt Flat activity with good movies and feedback on what was happening out there even back as far as 2012. :beer

Re: MicroSquirt, BMW's, and Turbocharging
Variable geometry turbines seem all the rage on Diesel which I have more dealings with in my daily work, much as I would rather was smaller stuff. It does seem to bridge the transition between camps on the "crossover" phenomenon but wonder if they might have a place on our smaller platforms and ...
