I just tried to find the old IDBA SITE,it's dead and I could not find any information on that association or it's history which is sad, their is a new site about the 50 years of African american drag racers history which is par for the times we are in now.

A guy named Malcoln Slaffer did set an IDBA record in 1984-85 season but I do not recall his ETA or the track he set it on. But the fact remains our bikes were the fastest of their time,a quarter of a century ago, man hat feels old to say it that way.

Still,I would not trade my times in the 80's on this bike for any new bike now made, those were great times, and wonderful memories of smoken the rest of the pack :bananasex

All you gun toting guys amaze me,I thought they took away your gun rights? Which is wrong, but how do you get by wearing holsters? Here it is called the right to carry, any 21year old non felon has the right to take a class and wear a side arm period, our crime rate dropped 60% since the southern and western states started obeying our rights.[/quote]

Think he talking about BB gun Or pellet gun version.

Shit, was I confused when I read the last posting. :? Big time.

Then I went back to the previous posts and it all started to make sense.

There are some forum members who lived in (allegedly) the most dangerous place in the world, where there was (at one time) an average of 50 (fifty) murders a day. It was like a case of survival in the jungle (slight exageration). Crime was bad and from what I understand it is not getting much better. Not much makes the news here in the UK about it.

Anyway, it was back in the old days, in the 80's especially that we used to carry our firearms, pretty mush as we carry about mobile phones today.

Some things have changed, other things still the same, Today, I have a catapault instead, but I still have a TURBO..... :banana :rockbanana :beer :victory
