looking to buy an 84

Post by fr0st »

hey people,

i'm from Canada and i've been browsing around the site for little while now. trying to get some info. I wanna make a project bike and i know theres tons of info here about the GPZ turbo.

i may have found a very clean 84.. just would like to know what to look for when buying it.

i know i will take off the intake pipe to see is the turbo shaft is loose and if the impellor fins are ok and to see if there is oil alot too.

also will see if the race mode has been enabled.. apparently from what i saw until now, the bike is completly stock..

anything else i should do to inspect ? take the compression maybe ?

the bike has 49 000 km on it and from the pic i have , it supposed to be VERY clean.

i,ll take more pics when i go to see it in a 3 days.

Si tu as des problème, laisse moi savoir

Hi Guys. Bonjour les gars. Another guy from Quebec here. Chateauguay actually.

I have bought 3 turbos this year, trying to spend myself out of depression I think. One was in pieces, another looked good but the motor is supposed to be a dead, primary chain, and the third is supposed to have a good motor. I bought them as project bikes and the project has stalled. I have to clean up the basement and bring one down in the winter to fix up. I want to restore one and build a "drag bike" with another.
