Just in case someone is interested, there is a sorry looking engine listed on fleabay. Low starting price and a bit of an ugly duckling.

I would consider it, but it is a long way to go for me.

Yikes, that'll need some work. Looks as though it's been left opened up. I wouldn't be surprised if it's badly corroded inside. Cheap though and probably worth the asking price that was paid.

Just bought the 2 cylinder heads & other bits that the guy had for sale for £16…
The guy lived about 300 yards from the sea so the lovely fresh sea air has had a good go at the alloy.

Yeah they looked shite but worth a gamble if they clean up after a bit of work.

One cylinder head was a turbo head... complete with one bent exhaust valve & cracked valve guide. Other than that it was in good nick.

The other cylinder head was from a Z650 and was only fit for the spare valves & shims and the metal recycling bin as it was so corroded.
