Fuel Pump

Post by simonic »

i'm looking for some pump info please.
After searching this group i've found that the Bosch pump 0580 464 058 is a good replacement.
I asked for this at my local Bosch agent and was told the number is now NLA and the new reference is 0580 464 069.
I had a look for the spec for this pump and found that the 069 pump flows at 98 litres per hour and makes 58psi.
From doing some more reading here i've found that the stock pump is 36psi.

So,my questions are is pressure of the 069 pump too much for the Kawasaki fuel system ?
Is there a better equivalent ?

I'm uk based.

Thank you gentlemen

the fuel pump is not regulate the systen pressure. the fuel pressure regulator is doing it.

if you have a too weak fuelpump its a problem. i dont know the limit.

i have use a walbro fuel pump gsl 392 to my bike before but it was very modified bike.

it do 255L/H 3 bar. but the bike have 2,5 bar. and that works fine.
its gods country, dont drive like hell throught it!
