Good afternoon, fellow Turbo afficionados
I have been looking at this great site for some time and whilst I registered a while ago...this is my first post.
My name is Peter Le Brocq and I live on Jersey in the Channel Islands.
My bikes have been a H*nda SS50, Kawasaki KH250, Kawasaki Z250 Special (the green/white one), GPz550 (Twin Shock), and a Ducati 748 delivered by my wife (then girlfriend) in the kitchen on my 40th birthday!
I bought my first GPz750Turbo in April 1984...but sadly, ten days after getting that first ride and owing to a rather careless (and seemingly partially sighted) uninsured truck driver who turned across my path with no warning, the bike was written off. Thankfully not me as well!
Fortunately I was running in and only doing 30mph...but it still hurts a lot at that speed!
I got my second Turbo three months later and still own it today, however...with a young family (who are now grown up) and those pressures of work, the bike hasn't been run for the last 15 years. I had started to carry out some TLC/restoration, and the body parts had been removed and carefully wrapped as well as a number of chassis and engine components. All parts boxed and labelled.
We downsized ten years ago and with little space, a friend of mine agreed to "store" the bike and boxes for me.
I have now retired and have retrieved the bike and am working on getting it back on the road. I retrieved the boxes too...but that's where the challenge started! I had stored 5 boxes but have only been able to retrieve 4! That 5th box seemed to have vanished off the face of the planet. Not very clever.
So...I have all the bits I need other than the fairing top cowl and the belly pan...nothing important then!!
Obviously I'm doing the trawl of the forum site (awesome by the way) but, rather cheekily, could I ask if anyone can point me in the best direction to help me find what I need or perhaps you have the items and would be prepared to sell? It is the bare top cowl I need as I have the other parts including the mounting frame, screen, etc. Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Peter

Hi Peter and welcome to the gang.
That is a bugger to say the least. However, all is not lost. The later ZX750 A3-5 have the same size and shape upper fairing. Although the part numbers differ, the only difference I have found is the colour scheme. Make sure there is a slot underneath for the headlight adjustment and it has the 2 slots for the mid-panels.
Blue is the one you want. Not the red one. NOT the 1100 one as it is a bit bigger. .

Jez
Thanks for your quick input and helpful response.
Well there has been a turnaround of good fortune! After some slightly heated "You must have the box!" and "You had it when the bike was delivered back to you!" exchanges...the box with the fairing cowl and belly pan has materialized...much to my (and my wallet's) relief! All in good shape too, I am pleased to say.
Thanks anyway for your help...much appreciated.
Cheers
