Walbro and Voltage /Ampere

Post by Würstchens-Turbo 810 »

Hello, I want to replace my current, probably defective GSL393 with the Gsl392.
It is written on the pump:
"a 20Amp fuse is required."
Do I really need extra protection/extra fuse for the pump? .
And are our stock cables thick enough?

THANKS for helping
Horst

Good question Horst!
From my experience I would say no. I installed 3 pumps on 3 bikes mine included and never added a additional fuse link. Never had a problem either. Just my experiences installing the Walbro pumps if that helps. IF in doubt, install one. :thumbup

Thank you for the answer.
My 393 works, a lot of years without electrical problems.
so I will install the 392 (it's only 3Amp more)
and I think it will work. :beer

I hope the new one solves my fuel pressure problem

Horst while your in there working on fuel pressure issue check make sure your FPR is working correctly. May have a leaking diaphragm causing pressure issues. :thumbup
