Gasket Set, filters etc

Post by Nagahara750 »

Hi all, has anybody got a complete E1 gasket set for sale? Also I find the original Kawasaki oil filter and I presume the air filters are no longer available. Where can good alternatives these be sourced?
Also need a complete oil seal set, can anybody help? Thanks in advance

ebay 401982605117 looks a good price. I haven't used one I think the kits I have used are Versah and have always been good.

For oil seals I always use original Kwak parts.

I doubt that the full kit for a Turbo will be available. Just check the sump gasket. They are easy to ID & differentiate from the NA ones.

Sadly not a contact, but I did buy 5 sets a loooong time ago. Mang, you got a couple of those.

I am pretty sure I bought a set made by CENTAURO years ago. Think they are Italian. That, if I recall correctly, was a good set.

Also K&N makes an oil filter. My local Advanced Auto has been carrying them for years. The only issue is that both orings are not correct. I believe one of them is, can't remember if it is the little one or the big one, but one of them doesn't fit. Of course you can re-use the orings several times. I do, and about every 3rd or fourth change I get both orings new and replace them. I confronted K&N about this and their excuses was that the filter was used on so many diff. Kawasaki's that they cannot put all the orings in the box for every bike. So I said, so you put 2 orings in there that are bike specific but you don't tell the consumer which bike :wanker Dumbasses.

I am happy that they make a filter that works for our bikes though. It is convenient to be able to pick one up at the Auto store, and they are less than the Kawa one. I have also never had an issue with one, but I do change my oil and filter every thousand miles.

That is almost as bad as saying there is a K&N filter but not telling us the part number. :humour :popcorn ;)

I figured google was everybody's friend. But you right, I am in the new parts resource section, so here you go. :victory

It takes forever for Advanced web page to load, or it could just be my computer. You can try the link or here is the P/N #KN-401.

Here is the K&N link also.

They have got one listed on ebay as I have just checked. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/1230937054

Try Fowlers of Bristol or CMSNL.
https://www.cmsnl.com/search/?section=p ... 9-003&tab=

I just put in the part number (16099-003) on the search engine and a few places show them or alternative brands, H**da fitting.

I cannot say I have ever had a problem getting any. :beer :popcorn

Jez, can you guys get the K&N over there?

At least with the K&N you know it should be fairly new production or I would think it would be because they fit so many bikes, I always find them in stock. I know 1 of the orings isn't right.

Does anyone know if you can still get the orings from Kawa. I haven't tried in quite a while.
