Replica 3D Printed Surge Tank Dampers

Post by TurboRestorer »

Hi, I have been able to 3D print the damper rubbers for the surge tank end covers. I intend to sell these at £10 for 8 (free P&P UK), this is 4 on the bike & a spare set.
The material is a modern rubber type material which should resist vibration & most chemicals thrown at it.

Please PM me if you require any, I have 48 in stock & can print as many as required. It is a direct copy of the OEM part & again is test fitted on my bike + gpzrfun has tested for me on his bike.

Regards,
Adrian

Good work. I am interested in 3D printing and am curious as to what process and material this would be?

Its a Prusa i3 Pro B, highly modified printer using PCTPU material, I also have another harder flexible material called PCTPE which is too hard for this application.

Turborestorer, forgive my ignorance but are these the grommets for the plenum side covers? I have never seen these before, probably because if they are for the plenum covers my bike never had them  Charlie and I just used some pieces of rubber hose. Not sure if Charlie has been able to get the OEM ones but I still have the hose pieces.

Thank you for making these, and offering them at such a good price. Will have to see if others here in the states want some so maybe we could combine, so we don't get killed on the shipping.

Nice work :thumbup

Everyone who wants a set (of 8) please use PP £10 to adrianhull80@googlemail.com & i'll send out ASAP. If you are near others in the US please state that you want to combine qty for shipping purposes & I will seperate & label within the package to who gets what qty.

Postage from UK to USA is usually around £1.20 GBP.

I am also working the LCD tank panel seal at the moment using the same material as the grommets.
