PCV map for 370cc 810

Post by turbo_Rob »

Hello my friends. Anyone have a map to share so I do not have to hand type up a base? If not I guess the one Lorcan posted would at least be a good starting point for fat fingering and dyno tuning.

Maybe we can have a download area for maps? Is that possible?

You can add maps to any post now. Here's mine, although this was with a bigger turbo. Hope it works, it was from a serial port version, not USB.

Sure you've seen all of Gazza's great PC-V links here (may be no mapping data), but just in-case ---> http://www.750turbo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15361

May be closer than we think. The GT 20 Series comp wheel was either a 37.60mm or a 36.00mm. The Billet Comp altho a GT17 is 34.80mm but has a much narrower hub thru the height of the Comp Wheel so the blade area is much larger and flows close to if not about the same as the cast Comp Wheel design. The GT20 Turbine Wheel tho is larger at 47mm vs the HT10 at 38.9mm.... Compressor airflow should be close....turbine flow being less Rob which will give you quicker response and stronger midrange, less top end HP than the GT20 Keep us posted :thumbup

Well gang finally had some time off of work and family things. Loaded the hand written map from Lorcan GT 22 370. Bike fired right up. Sounded pretty good. Just need to button up the rest and head to the dyno. I have the fuel pressure at 40 psi running around 10.3 / 1 AF at idle. When I first started it ran like crap. Still had a map in the PCV for a gsxr 750.

Should I run more pressure or just tune it at 40psi? Not sure if more pressure would be better for atomization.

I'm can't wait to get home and finish bending the last part of the aluminum rear fender.

Great to learn of your progress Rob! If memory serves, Lorcan fed his large injectors with 40. May'ave read it in 'The Route To Power'.

With the high impedance injectors you can run stock pressure with no issues. Sure 40 is fine..biggest thing is once you start tuning do not change your fuel pressure again. Leave it at the same pressure :thumbup

Finally have it running with the Map from Lorcan (thanks) took it around the block keeping a close eye on the A/F. Looks rich on pump gas but I'm really happy! So I slowly upped the RPM a little till it just started to make a lbs of boost. A/F changed to richer mix nicely. So after playing a little tonight @ 10 psi A/F was in the 9s on the gauge. Checked the data and sure enough it is not lean! :beer Now I have to decide if I want to go with race fuel and map to 21PSI on the dyno or just go for 14psi with pump gas. I think I will go with the 14 and after the NC rally look at 21 psi. :beer Or maybe 21 lol any way thanks to all the members helping me along the way. Either way I will post number and videos of the dyno. Also I will post setup and map after dyno.

Super news, you're boosting about after that winter repair you had Rob. :thumbup

That's a great fueling result. Good to see everyone nearing completion in time for Charlie's Rally.

I was referencing the circulation upgrade within you. Not always smooth sailin', so it's mighty fine to know you''re clear of the woods.

It's easy to overlook a less than poifect spit-shine, especially when the business end is on the up and up.

Not always smooth but like anything in life you have to keep moving or get left behind.

Man this is becoming a pain in the rear. The dyno shops I have spoke with now tell me I need a PCV that has boost tables avaliable.
Is my thinking correct that the standard ecu will add fuel for boost all we need the PCV for is add or remove percentage of fuel. I am trying to get ready for the NC trip. I guess I can map it with my data logging af and rpm. Just let it run a little rich. The map now gets a little lean around 5k this is slow roll without boost or less than 4psi.
