750 Turbo Rally Spring of 2016??

Post by Charlie @ Evergreen »

Hi guys...

Been working on putting this together (in my head) for June or Sept??) Will do a poll very soon with interest showing very positive. If we get enough 750 owners together will determine if we proceed. How many will attend and will talk with Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge in North Carolina. Roger & I have been talking about this a few months as he was telling me of the Rally's with TMIOA (all turbo bikes) and how much fun they were.

See Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge http://ironhorsenc.com/

Rooms are from $30 to $99 a night. They also have tent camping.

Since it seems like there is a resurgence of turbo 750's coming alive this would be a great time for all of us to get together. Some of the best riding in the USA, food and fun of course turbo 750's we can all talk about till were silly.

One of the things would like to do is have a Raffle for a Blueprinted Billet Turbocharger with Hardware. If the Raffle goes over the turbo cost there would be a second ticket pulled for a Cash Prize.

Have Polo's made up with a 750 on the back & Turbo 750.com on the front with Lorcan's Blessing.

Will also have some swag like Keychains, Coolers etc.

This will give everyone some fun things to take home.

There is a lot to work out but this could be a lot of fun and the start of a Annual get together. Very centrally located to try to take advantage of some of the best riding around. Rides may have a couple groups..... those that want to cruise & sight see, and those that want to ride a bit harder

So give me some feed back to try to put this together and lets see if we can have some fun this fall!!

If you want to contact me directly email me at evergreenturbo@aol.com or you can call 352 497 3469.

Can't wait to get some feed back from you all. :thumbup

Charlie you've got some great ideas . :thumbup Have already spoken with some of the northeast guys . So far myself , Riturbo , Tom66 , and Mopar are all very excited about the thought of this coming together . Id be willing to send some pms to more members up in this area that haven't posted in awhile , to get some momentum going.

Charlie, riturbo is correct, I did try and put something together a few years back, but I think you hit the nail on the head. I believe there is more owners both in the US and over seas, with running bikes now then back when I was considering it. There is four of us here in FL alone. Anyway as of right now count me in! I also think I can get John to make up some really cool alum. 750 turbo key chains that I could paint black & red. Or something along those lines. If I give John an image he can load it in his computer and spit out just about anything.

Quick question, should we restrict this to just 750 turbo owners?

Maybe we could find a local Kawi dealer who would like us to stop by and possibly contribute some swag

already talking to Lansford Kawasaki..hopefully Scott will help out a bit..not super close but I know its in the area. Scott has been in the business there his whole life and his dads also. They have lots of static historical kawas to drewel about..should here back from him today sometime.
Thank you for the offer also! Biggest help would be getting people to show up and have a good weekend! I'll let you know as this unfolds as I am sure I will need some help along the way.
Thanks Tom :thumbup

Crossville where Lansford Kawasaki is to Iron Horse is about 2 hr 45 min (by car, so 1hr 45 by turbo  )..but would be part of a big day of riding if we went to the dealership..I think showing up there would be one of the choices we could chose from and Scott would be excited as he is pure Kawasaki blood :beer

Count me in! After last summer's ride to Tennessee I promised myself I would do one every summer. I like the idea of riding over to Lansford in Crossville. I bought all my motorcycles from him when I lived there. It would probably be a day ride with all the back mountain roads between NC and TN. I mean, there is the interstate but what fun is that?

I have some pretty cool braded parachute cord key hanger things all ready in the works. I will give these away regardless if I go or not. I am going but regardless I am going to donate them either way. I will also talk to John soon because I want to put the two together for a really nice key chain type item.
