Thinking out loud:
One thing that bugged me about fitting the PC was that if you were troubleshooting gremlins that occasionally haunt a 30 yr old bike you can't just remove the PC without unsoldering it and also having to swap the injectors back. Volvo guys who start adding turbos to their old cars add a resistor pack to keep the low imp. injectors.
I have to find a intermittent stalling problem. If I end up removing the pc-v, when I reinstall it I will make up a plug harness adapter for it and fit a resistor pack to keep the HPU (RC) 880 injectors in place.

Re: Resistor pack for low impedance injectors
Resistor packs add to dead time - the time during which the injector is not properly open or closed. They do work but can cause the fuel system to go unexpectedly lean at some point, so dyno test thoroughly if you decide to use them.
First to 200mph (2006) and still the fastest (211mph)
Quickest turbo-only 8.69 @ 162mph

Re: Resistor pack for low impedance injectors
although a power commander may have trouble running low impedance injectors due to the high current draw the same is not true the other way round. the high impedance injectors draw much less current and the original ecu will run them without problem,so if you leave your hi impedance injectors in place you should be able to swap the pcv in and out at will :rockbanana

Re: Resistor pack for low impedance injectors
That is great. I have enough harness parts ,plugs , and such to reinstall the PC in a plug n play fashion.
I don't know what cc size the old 880 injectors were but I think I have rc 370's in there now. Pulling the PC will send it over rich I bet since I had to take away fueling initially to get it to idle.
I gave the dirty old girl a bath yesterday , loaded her on the lift, drained the fuel, and am waiting for a new battery to arrive.

Re: Resistor pack for low impedance injectors
I found my original hpu 880 2.6 ohm injectors. They are RC 270cc which are rebadged Bosch units according to their cust svc rep (but neatly configured with a crimped on hose attachment for our fuel rail).
New battery arrived today. I'll get the old girl fired up this week.
In the event I cannot resolve the previous intermittent stalling problem and resort to removing the PC I will install 12 ohm 270's . Afterwards when reinstalling and reconfiguring the PC V I won't have to remove all that fueling in the program to get it to idle as I did with the 370s.
I suspect the stalling problem is and has always been related to funky tps or corroded grounds. With limited time to troubleshoot it was easier back then to jump on something else to go riding. I'm sure others here can relate to that. I will test both before anything else.
Has anyone run 12 ohm injectors on the factory ecu? I'm definitely not going to fry anything right? Theory is great but first hand knowledge rules!
