Riding into History

Post by VolNick »

This will be my 3rd year going to this event. Each year someone says i should enter my bike in it but I always say "no, she's a rider not a show bike" but this year I am entering since the theme is "Featuring for 2012 The Landmark Motorcycles of Japan". I think ours qualify. Time to start polishing.
They even have a GPz as their "T-shirt Bike" this year.

Its not till May 19 but I will be there for about 8 hours so I am sure I will be able to take plenty of pictures. Until then will this do? From the 2010 event.

Well, I didn't win a trophy. Most of the winners were hauled up there on a trailor and then pushed to their display locations. But that's ok. Had a good time and met some new friends. I was still the only Turbo of any kind there. I did see a GPz 750 NA. I thought my bike was rare but 1 bike away from me was a Yamaha GTS1000 with 1500 miles on it. And he rode it there. Lots of pics on my flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/volnick1/

Read the story on the Ariel. Pretty neat.

Looks like a great place for a motorcycle show Nick....

That ELR caught my eye...looked like a genuine KZ1000S1.
