Ok, obviously when I posted this I knew that there are people with these bikes all over the world. I was born in San Diego Cail. And have lived in every single state on the west coast, From New Mexico all the way up to Washington state, in fact I graduated high school in Washington state. My father still lives there, and I have a brother and sister who live in Vegas. I appreciate all the ideas and love the roads and highways out there.

Of course I also knew it would be impossible to please everyone with a location, and I understand, things like funds, and the amount of time people can take off and stuff. However I am going to stick with the blue ridge tail of the dragon area for now. I checked a few places to stay yesterday and it does not seem to be a problem. You can get a not so great cabin for around $39 a night, or you can get a pretty nice cabin for around $89 a night. Or you can go all out on a mansion that sleeps 18 to 20 people for around $189 for 2 nights and is totally bad ass cabin. This area is used to all kinds of groups up there. Bikes groups, weddings, car clubs etc. there are restaurants close by, and lots of places to go and check out besides the great roads to ride on.

I am not saying I am totally closed minded at this time to going out west but for me this will be a complete change of plans. I would need at least 10 business days off, more than double the funds to go out and back, and because of things like peoples amount of time off and amount of funds I was thinking 4 to 5 days max. I was hoping in this way more people no matter where there are or where the meet was, they would be able to make it. I will get more details on dates, discounts on a place to stay and what not next week.

Thanks for the inputs and ideas guys.

I may be interested in this event as long as the turbo and myself are road worthy.
I've tried growing up, it just doesn't work for me, so I'll go on enjoying my childhood.

Didn't mean to hijack your thread.
I was just tossing out some random ideas....

Maybe there's enough interest to support two rides; a west coast tour early in the year, and an eastern cruise later in the year?

It's all good Greg. I understand.

Wouldn't it be a perfect world if everyone had unlimited funds, and time. Then there would be no issues. A west coast thing would be way cool. As I stated I grew up out there, and love the mountains on the west coast. My whole family on my Fathers side is from Prescott AZ. A ride out there is just not in the cards for me right now, I will be pushing it to make this one I am planning.

All I can say is to post it and see how much interest you get from the people in your neighborhood.

Hey guys, I am posting some info. on some cabins that I found. This is just one of many options, I tried to stay on the cheap side hoping that this will allow more people? If we booked all of these I think we could sleep around 14 people. I believe 3 of the cabins have a queen size bed and 2 bunk beds. ( I know bunk beds may not be that great, but it is a place to sleep.) These cabins are pretty cheap, nice and have covered parking, grills, a place to wash you machining, lots of stuff and close to a lot of things.

They are $74.95 a night based on double occupancy, and only $15.00 for each additional person. Again this is just one option, there are lots of places, it boils down to the amount you want to spend. Thoughts? please.
