Ride of Respect 2011

Post by simonmain »

Hey guys, anyone signed up for the Afghan Heros Ride of Respect 2011 on April 3rd. Might be a good chance for a bunch of us to meet up and put faces to names and stuff.

Sounds like a good plan.

I guess this may be the last one to/from the base as it is closing.

I will check availability and book if possible. Could meet at the Old Severn Bridge or something.

Where is it from/to?

My guess would be from where you live.

Joking aside, here are a couple of links. There are a few regional rides being planned.

One of the few charities I support so will be booking today. £10 for a day out on the bike. Bargain! Hope to see some of you. I will let you know what time slot I book.

I've managed to book a slot between 9 and 10 a.m., but judging by last year's event, your arrival time has no bearing on what time you take part in the run. I was in the queue for about an hour before I went out, my mate was right behind me and was stopped by the marshals and he caught me up two and a half hours later!!!!

Just established there are no more openings available for times after 8AM. I really don't feel like getting up and going at 6AM, so I will go for the ride and see what happens. Simon, I will presume you will be leaving bloody early as well, so let me know what time you expect to be near the Severn Crossing area and where we can meet up.

Anybody else that can access the M4-M5 junction near Bristol can maybe link up as well. NA 750's allowed. :)

Tomorrow is the ride out day people. I am going for the ride, but didn't get a time slot so will just loiter about somewehere for a coffee and possibly drop in to George White Swindon on the way home.

Simon, If we are meeting you at Magor services, what time do you expect to be there?
