As I've said before, PCs are great because

a) You get to keep all the stock instrumentation and warning lights

b) Any dyno operator anywhere knows how to map them

There are, of course, lots of other options including standalone ECUs (I have used a DTA and have a Wolf V500 for my next project) but not all dyno operators are familiar with all ECUs and you may not get to keep the instrumentation.

There's certainly no guarantee that if you swap to another fuel injection control unit you will get the power you want. As has already been shown the PC is a perfectly capable unit and your perceived shortfall in power could well be due to other factors.
First to 200mph (2006) and still the fastest (211mph)
Quickest turbo-only 8.69 @ 162mph

The Motec comes with lots of options switched off, which you have to pay extra to get turned back on again.

The Wolf comes with everything enabled, and a wiring loom too
