Hi

Did you set it up like this....

Locate the pipe from the plenum to the boost sensor. Unplug it at the plenum end and suck on it to create a slight vacuum....you should see the throttle position % reduce on the laptop screen. Set this throttle position as zero. Then connect a pressure supply ( a tire will do) with slightly over the maximum boost pressure you will be wanting to run (I used 25psi) and set this to 100% throttle. This will ensure that any alterations only affect the "on boost" area of the map. If alterations are required for idle or off boost performance you may need to connect a vacuum supply and reset the 0% throttle setting lower.

If you have done this you should be able to set the OFF BOOST within the PC.........and get the fuel mixture spot on OFF boost.

thanks, i wondered about that after i sent my last reply. i havent actually done this yet, i am in the process of accumulating parts and info. what injector size would you recommend with 24 psi boost on a stock engine with free flowing exhaust?

What Jeff (Tack) is saying about the off-boost and low boost portion of the map is correct, you should be able to map out any poor running (within reason) even if you set the PC up as main load=boost. With modern programmable ECUs you have a choice of how to set up the main load map, most people use MAP and treat the throttle position as secondary. Works perfectly well.

No you dont have to wire up the tps to sort out the off boost. Just adjsut the figures in the boxes that relate to the off boost part of the map.

How did you set up the boost senser within the part of the pc that deals with the throttle position normally?

Tack1000
Ahh yes. Basically just adjust the 0% collom in the PC software. Forgot about that.

Could a pc3r possibly modify the signal from the ignition module to the coils?

I think I asked Brad this when we started out and the answer was no. Not cost effectively anyway.

i have another PC3 that we can add to the list of ones that work on the turbos.
i purchased one for a 2001-2003 GSXR 600. It is a 12 wire with the orange,
blue, green and yellow wires being the input wires to the power commander. I will share my experiences with installation, soon.

does it really matter which wire goes to which injector, since the ecu is still going to be functioning in batch mode?

It only matters if you want to control the fueling of each injector .

thats cool, so you can make #2 and #3 run a little richer to keep the inside cylinders cooler

EJ where did you find this exactly?
First to 200mph (2006) and still the fastest (211mph)
Quickest turbo-only 8.69 @ 162mph

I Emailed Dynojet

"
If you start with a zero map it will make changes because we calibrate the
PC3 zero settings to the injector pulse that the stock injector is putting
out on the bike that it was designed for. We would have no idea if its going
to add or take fuel away with a zero map on your setup. I would try to the
put the PC3 on the bike where you are getting it tuned or trailer the bike
there.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

Hi

I have 2 more questions??
I have no Kawasaki 750turbo map to start with...
If I start with a all zero map, will that be the same as without thePC3 ???
If so then I can put the PC3 in its place ,and drive to the workshop. And set
up the PC3 there((Motor-Teknikk)just 20 miles from my home)????
Happy New Year

Einar
