Replacement ECU

I read that some people are using micro squirt units in place of the original ecu? Is there any information on here regarding the process and the costs, thanks.
87 GSXR750G, 85 FZ7501FN, 85 GPZ750A1, 86 ZX750 TURBO, 81 XL250SB, 84 RZ500L.

Try searching megasquirt?
First to 200mph (2006) and still the fastest (211mph)
Quickest turbo-only 8.69 @ 162mph
