So i have fitted a suzuki k1 rear swinging slightly longer one
What spacer and bracket have people used to align rear brake caliper
Rear wheel is kawasaki 5.5 wide
Also rear shockabsorber rubs on the swinging arm rear section
Any imput Apreciated
I don't quite understand the problem. If you're using a Suzuki K1 swingarm, then I would also use the brake/brake anchor/brake disc and wheel, so you don't need to adjust anything.
Isn't the left side more likely the issue, in terms of maintaining chain alignment?
There may not be an “off the shelf” solution when you mix/match parts from different models and esp from different manufacturers.
I’ve done a few swingarm and wheel swaps though. From what it sounds like, you have the arm mounted and positioned based on the shock linkage. That means the swingarm is fixed left-to-right. Next you’ll need to centralize the wheel. This may require machining down the sprocket carrier to align front and rear sprockets. A 3/8” (10mm) offset front is probably needed. *You can run the wheel offset from the centerline of the bike. There are a few bikes like that from the factory, but I prefer a single track motorcycle.* Depending on what Kaw wheel you’re using, it may have a 220mm rotor. I believe most of the 600/750/1000 Gsxr’a use the same size. If that’s the case, then use the Suz caliper bracket, center the caliper, then make/modify the inner and outer spacers accordingly.
It also helps IMMENSELY to see what you are working with/against.
Can you take pictures of the setup as it is now? Kawasaki has used 5.5” rims on 600’s for 25+ years. We need more information about the exact parts used with pics being extremely helpful.
