Billet Turbo's

Post by Charlie @ Evergreen »

Hi guys,
So with the wonderful world of internet and cell phones putting a question out for answers to all of you running Billet Turbo.

Rumor running around I got from a 750 owner yesterday is that the Billet HT10s surge and then blow apart !

So this is something that really sets a fire under my ass when people say things on the internet like this with no facts.

Does anyone have a issue with surging and blow your Billet Turbo apart ie the Billet Wheel explodes or bursts per say??

Working on finding out since can't get a specific name of who and what site .

Anyone with this issue I am sure would have contacted me with a huge amount of PISSED OFF! Never had one complaint like this with a proper running 750 turbo.

Want to say thank you for all the support and turbo's you have trusted to have built ! You guys have been awesome here ! :beer

C. I understand your concern, it's what you do, and you do it with pride and honor.

Mine was one of the very first ones years ago, and you have gone through it how many times (No fault of the turbo, or your workmanship) Point is mine hasn't come apart and I am coming up on 11K since the motor rebuild.

This is a big part of what I don't like about the world today. All the uninformed, idiot, morons. Sounds like someone is talking out their ass again. :wank

Hey C. You built mine a few years ago now, I too have almost 11,000 klm on it with the rebuilt motor. Never had an issue with the turbo. No sudden surging, no big BOOM, just what it was designed to do, put a big cheesy grin on my face!
If anything it does give a better power delivery curve than what my stock turbo bike gives, just a whole lot more!
Keep up the good work fella.
The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude towards the problem.

Hey dude
I wouldn't trouble yourself with random internet gossip.
Most of your supporters are right here. If you had an issue you'd know it.
And we're not worried about tech support anyway - we know where to find you, lol.

I have to agree with all the reply's here. If my turbo just 'blew up' I'd be calling the last person that rebuilt it to perform an autopsy to explain why. You have done so many of the sites turbos that if there truly was an issue, it would have manifested itself long before now.

Hi guys thanks for the responses and yes I appreciate you all for you support and speaking up. I do get bit pissed as the internet can do damage hard to contain and this post and the FB Forum post are out there to counteract and integrate into any of that type of conversation with factual proof from all of you! This is the intent of the post to be factual with the owners make it clear there is not issue. Have it nailed down to two and will keep it to myself. Case will be closed with everyone's feedback which is all the proof to put that smile on my face here your all boosting as knew you are !

On a side note you will always run into a issue with a turbo now and then usually its from oil contamination with particles of debris ie for the 750 you all know the dampers and fibers from clutch plates get into the engine cases and cooler. So if they do not get quick flushed out check for black specs you will damage your turbo. LFD when we did your first one it was all from break in material scared up the bearings, shaft and bearing housing bores. The other two were not needing built but went in anyway when we were chasing your waste gate over boost issue and changing the gate and pre loads try figure out how it affected your boost. Great part is we all learn so much hear on this site with so many different problems we all faced getting the 750s running perfectly.

Thanks again and keep on Boosting!

I just left a five star Google review for you Charlie and can confirm your Billet HT10's don't blow up but they do spool up very well indeed.

If you do find out who is throwing the shit post their email and we can all write a little note to them. I am sure many of our members would be happy to send an email to confirm that your turbos are fantastic not faulty.

Keep up the good work and dont let the bastards get you down.

This has got nothing to do with billet turbo's but the last comment by Mang "Fantastic not faulty reminded me of a line I throw at people when they ask if I can fix something for them I say "I'll do something to it that starts with F" just to see the look on their face
