Installation instructions
Re: Installation instructions
You don't need two maps. The whole point of connecting the PC grey wire to the boost sensor instead of the TPS is so that you can map boost vs fuel. Your dyno operator can map out the 50% "throttle" row (15psi) then the 100% (30psi, or whatever you choose) then extrapolate the numbers in between. Then you can turn the boost up and down to your little heart's content using the same map.
First to 200mph (2006) and still the fastest (211mph)

If you are running 22 psi I would set the 100% to 21 psi, so when you are at 22 psi it will be defiantly in the 100% column of the map and makes adjusting the right number easier. If you are just under 100% then the pc uses a percentage of both the 80 and 100% column. This makes it harder to set the thing up.

Perhaps this video is useful for those who want to adjust Throttle position on PC3
I'm in sea level i set: close 7200, Current 7450, Open 17500
0.5 bar/7.3psi= 25% =>10000 TPS
1 bar/14.5 psi=50% =>12500 TPS
1.5 bar/22 psi=75% =>14700 TPS
2 bar/29 psi=100% =>17500 TPS

Re: Installation instructions
Hi Folks,
I picked up a PCV for a 2013 GSXR600 and have some basic questions on wiring...
Lorcan's instructions (on page 1 of this post) say to connect the yellow injector wire to the Orange, Blue, Yellow, and Green wires. The accompanying diagram show these wires going to the Injectors, but theses wires have male plugs on them and won't plug into the injectors. As far as I can tell, the Orange, Blue, Yellow, and Green wires go to the ECU. Should I connect the Yellow wires to these input wires with male plugs, or should I connect them on the output side with the female plugs?
Also, I'm not very clear on what to do with the three pronged plugs. They're physically different from the TPS plug. So do I just plug those together and pick up the grey wire to connect to the pink boost sensor wire?
And the black and black/grey go to ground, I suppose. That one is pretty straight forward.

Re: Installation instructions
I have a PCV, for a BMW S1000RR 2010-2014, and will get a few images posted later.
First thing, is the page 1 guide you refer to applicable to PCV's? I think that it is for a PC3.
I may be wrong as I have not read all the pages recently.
Second, when it was initially installed, it drained the battery and needed to have a relay installed. This may be due to the way it was installed, the way the instructions tell the user to install it which will work on a Beemer or may not be avoidable. No idea.
I removed the relay and put in a switch to isolate the battery. Sort of works, but now I have intermittent battery warning light flashing when riding. More looking into it is required.
Mang and I have much the same issue and both have the same PCV unit.
Here is a note I found on some forum, just as a bit of a hint/tip which may be of use. Another image regarding resistors.

Re: Installation instructions
you need to read and digest lorcans instructions.
a key point is the need to cut off the plugs that come as standard with the power commander,this is not a standard factory install.
you need to identify and understand the various functions of the connectors before hacking it all apart.

Re: Installation instructions
Here is a pic of RHS No, 4 injector.
Blue/Red wire Number 3 inj is Green/Red.
Number 2 inj is Yellow/Red.
Number 1 inj is Orange/Red. Beyond this I cannot help much more as I did not install it.

Right. That's why I'm asking the question, before I hack at it cuz it's not adding up.dazbo wrote:you need to read and digest lorcans instructions.

Re: Installation instructions
Zedex,
Thanks! The images and notes are super helpful! Clearly the Yellow, Orange, Blue, and Green got to the ECU. Opposite from the diagram.
I'm still not clear on which to hook up the yellow injector wire from the loom....

Re: Installation instructions
Hallo folks
I make some measurements today to confirmed the correct voltage from Boost sensor to Pc3
in my video i compare the Boost pressure with voltage First to ecu and then with voltage to PC3.
As you can see the voltage from sensor to pc3 is Below the table, it start from 1 volt at 0 bar and he goes 2.90v at 3bar (30psi).
The resistances are correct as you see in photo and the Circuit too.

Re: Installation instructions
The question:
can i replace resistance to go up in 5volt, and what resistance?

Re: Installation instructions
Are you sure your measuring this correctly.
You should have one lead at ground and the other at each of the measuring points. Your results seem to be what you might expect if you were measuring between the original ecu feed and the Middle of the 2 resistors.??

That's i did,the results are expected to Ecu but no to PC3 signal (Middle of resistors)dazbo wrote:Are you sure your measuring this correctly.

Re: Installation instructions
Good news!
I take some resistors 150~20k to make test, I changed only the 180k resistor in the circuit,the resistor 40k was better Results .
some data:
40k 0bar=1.80volt (180k=1v)
0.5bar=2.65v (180k=1.50v)
1 bar =3.50v (180k=1.80v)
1.5 bar=4.30v (180k=2.20v)
2 bar=4.95v (180k= 2.70v)
The 180k range is 1v to 2.70v usable range 1.70v
The 40k range is 1.80v to 4.95 usable range 3.15v
That affects PC3 usable range a you see in the second video the bar now is wider that means better accuracy.
New Power commander throttle position calibration, the range now start from 12000 at zero boost and 32000 2 bar (30 psi)
