Laconia NH bike week 2018

Hey all , its getting very late in the year to start planning but im just putting this out there .

Laconia bike week kicks off on June 9th and runs till the 17th . Its always a lock for a few of us . I usually take the week off but dont make it there until mid week cause im usually scrambling to finish something on my bike that i procrastinated about throughout the winter .

I live 1 1/2 - 2 hours away from downtown where all the harleys hang . If any body is thinking about making the trip , ill help in any way i can to make things go smoothly . If your on the fence about a parts failure on your turbo so far from home , please dont let that stop you . Short of a blown motor , i have many spares , a lift and the majority of the tools needed to get you back up and running . I may be lacking a little in diagnostic experience but ive rebuilt mine many times so in sure we can work through anything .

We usually do a few long rides and the white mountains are beautiful scenery with pretty nice roads . Not as nice as you guys in the Tennessee area but still great .

Thanks for the invite George, I would love to come up but the old girl is still broken right now. I am going to have to put this on my bucket list, and hopefully one year the bike will be A OK and ready to ride.

Ill be there from the 9th till the 16 th . If anyone can make it its a good time . Lots of mountain , canyon runs . George ,tom .and mopar usually make it . Would be nice to have a few more even if you can only make it for a few days . We have a pretty good size crew all ages that show .


Longfire just bring your 14 . One of the regulars Paul has a 14 he brings every year . He manages to keep up in the twisties and dusts us off when we hit the highway .

Well, the original plan was to sell the turbo and pay most of the loan on the 14. I just don't like payment's on a bike, there not worth it, you pay too much back by the end of the loan. But the turbo wouldn't sell unless I gave it away, which I refuse to do. So I sold the 14. Got $200 more than what I paid, and got to enjoy it for a while. So all good.

Bike week started today . Rode in today , met the boys. Everyone i real thirtsty so no riding tonight.

Planning the first mountain ride tomorrow morning/afternoon

George, you guys have a great time, and stay safe. At his point I am tentatively planning on doing this run next year. If I knew the response for the Turbo rally wasn't going to be great I would have planned on this, and would be there with you. But just have to plan for next year.
