Dropping the stock forks through the clamps

Post by Juice »

Has anyone experimented with dropping the stock forks through the tripple clamps? I'm basically trying to get the stock forks to work as well as possible. I have fitted progressive springs, an adjustable GSXR shock and I'm waiting one set of Youngbloods block of plates.
If anyone has drop their forks through the clamps can you please let me know how many mm so I have a base to start testing with.

Not something i would do but one problem would be the air ballance pipe Which links the two fork stantions and is located on top of the bottom yoke and is held in place by a clamp.

Then the handlebars don't fit properly unless you change them for some clip ons.

I would leave em as they are and just get the forks working their optimum. After that you are into front end swaps.
