My first bike.

Post by GraspingPie »

Hello. I'm new to the world of motorbikes. At the grand old age of 33 I've decided it's now or never to get into 2 wheels. Been a car guy my whole life especially MGs. So I wanted something a little special if I was gonna do this. If you're gonna do it you've got to do it right. So for my 1st ever bike I've bought a 1985 750 Turbo. Looking through the forum I can see it used to belong to tupz, so it's not a standard 750 turbo. I sorted a couple of the faults it had when I bought the bike so now it's just waiting for me to get my license. In the meantime I've got to find somewhere that can plastic weld my belly pan for me as it has a crack. Any suggestions for any specialists on these in Yorkshire would be much appreciated. I'm based in Sheffield. Will hopefully get it out to a few shows before the end of the summer. 😁

Welcome aboard :beer

Hell of a first bike . It will certainly do well at shows.

It was said to me once and I truly believe " it's not a matter of IF you'll go down , it's a matter of WHEN and how bad.

May consider getting a less rare bike that's easier to get parts for as a bike to learn on , but honestly good luck and be careful out there.
