Pete,
The pipes look great, camcoat do a good job. I noted somewhere they advise you to not leave it too long before you get heat into them as it can affect the curing if left to long . I trust your close to firing it up ?

Hi I`m also in the process of bringing a turbo back to life that,s stood for 10 years and , being cheeky wondered if you could let me know the supplier and details of the fuel pump, to save me all the ground work that you have obviously already done,
Thanks
Bill

Good luck Bill! I have a theory that the turbo fuel injection was a Japanese version of Bosch L-Jetronic, built under licence. I have used a modern Bosch fuel pump which is a very close match to the original, as you can see in the first pic. It fits neatly in the original cradle but you will need to fabricate a short power lead. You can see the Bosch part number in the second pic. You also need to sort a suitable banjo outlet. There is a Bosch relay which can be used to replace the original one that attaches to the back of the plenum chamber. Don't hesitate to ask if you have further questions.

Gpzrfan, just wondering if you have heard from Peter. I haven't seen a post from him since around july 16 when we were talking about FPRs. I sent him a PM on the 22nd he never replied.

I hope he is ok.

I'm fine, thanks for asking. I have been away for a few weeks and the site didn't send me an email saying I had a new PM, sorry LFD. Check your inbox, I have replied. I am still waiting for the rebuilt engine but have been busy with other stuff. The fairing subframe I planned to use was slightly bent so I bought a straight one in a lovely shade of metallic purple. It should be back from Triple S next week in gloss black and then I can finish the whole front fairing/lights/indicator section. I need to rebuild the starter motor and paint the oil cooler pipes but there's not much else I can do without the engine. I will gently chase the builder next week but the virus has really hit his main business, which obviously takes priority. I still have some niggles to fix on the green/black monster and I also have some surplus parts to tidy up and sell. So I won't be idle.

Three years later (!), my engine is finally being rebuilt. The rest of the bike is finished with a mix of restored and NOS parts. I hope to get the engine in a few weeks and then I can finish the bike. The end result should be lovely, looking like new but with some subtle mods to make it more usable. The engine is getting all-new wear parts - bearings, seals, rings, valve springs, oil pump mod etc etc - so will be like new. I'll post pics when it starts to come together. I plan to sell it when it's finished. Almost all the electrics will be new, even the switchgear.

My engine is now only a week or so away, should be here in time for Christmas. Jeff has done an amazing job and the engine looks gorgeous. I think it's better than new with modern coating, upgraded oil pump etc and a few other mods. It has been treated to all new wear parts and anything that wasn't perfect was replaced. New piston rings, bearings, seals, valve springs and seals, cam tensioner innards, inlet rubbers, clutch rubbers, almost all fasteners etc etc. I hope to get the bike finished early next year and then sell it. It will be close to perfect as I can make it.
