Here we all were BEFORE we all got undressed and decided to play in the waterfall. Man, you can get a sunburn quickly at elevation.

THE EDGE: there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

What's up turbo people

Has anyone given any thought to setting this up this year? There was at least one person at the rally that talked about hosting/setting this up in 2017. I am only throwing this out now because 2017 is going to be a very busy, and expensive year for me, and it is coming up really fast. My wife and I are trying to set things up to go visit my Father in Washington St. in July, that's going to be at least 2 weeks of vacation eaten up and a lot of funds.

I have a hole bunch of online training to try and get done in 2017. Also my wife and I are also going to buy some land in Tennessee, so we will be traveling up and back at least a few times. Not to mention all the stuff I have going on around the house, and the most important thing, there is still things I want to do to the bike

Anyway if this is a go for 2017, the sooner it gets set up the better. I will be able to try and make plans, set funds aside, etc. etc. and of course depending on the date weather I can even go :mad Hopefully I can work everything in next year. :victory

Thought?

Hey darrel , was wondering the same myself . I however am certain i won't be able to attend at all for 2017 . Only really have enough funds for one vacation a year and skipped out on the wife this year so I need to make up for it in 2017 . I attended this year to help make it successful hoping it will continue .
Really hope we can make this a tradition like it used to be . Great times , and even better riding . Keep it alive guys so i can see you in 2018.... :popcorn

I don't know if I can take point on this, but am more than willing to work with another member or members to put it together.

I have time during the day to make phone calls, research locations/accommodations, send/receive emails etc.

Not even sure if I will make it this year but happy to help out in any way I can

Hey guys...I plan on trying to put this together again for 2017 especially now that I am feeling more like myself after the accident. Would really love to do it every year to keep the 750 Rally's boosting along :thumbup

Hoping things get straightened up around here with my sons help by end of November.....then would like to try to put the Rally 2017 together.

I would like suggestions for places to ride so can investigate the accommodations for the area. Also if spring is better or fall?? This leaves a nice window of opportunity for us to put this together. After doing some research if this can get started in December is this enough time for those that would like to attend ??

Throw some idea's at me if you have suggestions....many of you know your area's that have great roads for riding. Each year would be good to try a new venue for our Rally's.
Like the idea's of having Rally shirts every year posting the Rally year with 750 turbo.com ...nothing like keeping these 750's making them a legend.

Thoughts guys??? Lets try to get this together! Tom I would love to do it with you if you want to get involved or I help you either way :banana

Sounds great Charlie. Thanks for all you do and are doing. I cant discount that from an old goat times have changed drastically. Here on the website it is the same ole song and dance still. Im just happy to have a 750turbo in my den again. It makes a beautiful conversation piece.

Wow, there are some magic photos of your bikes here. They look awesome when they're parked together :thumbup

I was wondering though, what specifically is the 'Tree Of Shame'? I've never seen anything like it.

I'm guessing that if you stack on the road, you have to offer your broken bits to the Gods Of Speed or something... Is that it?

In the parking lot of the motel at the start of Deals Gap ( Tail of the Dragon ) stands a tree labeled The Tree of Shame . People that have fallen victim to the very technical road and one of the roads 318 turns have donated crashed bits of their bikes . Some parts were actually signed and dated by their unfortunate owners .

'Tail Of The Dragon' eh... hmm...
I best steer clear of that one, else there's a good chance of that tree being covered in Turbo bits! :humour
