Some of the UK tuners have the gizmo apparently, you could try DSD in Chigwell. They mapped my bike.

Another PC

Post by tack1000 »

Hi

Got another PC and fitted it fine. It was off a H*nda cbr 1000 rr. Just to let you know the wiring colours was as the first unit I fitted. (bold colour wires from the ECU. Striped wires to the Injecters Not as the wiring Diagram on page 1.

It it worth just one thread to say

What colours were connect to what.
What unit it was ment for.

There must be at least 5-10 units fitted now.

Hello Lorcan,

i will get in the next Days my PCIII USB (2002 ZX12R) from Australia :D (cheap for me, in Euro its the half ).

I searched at the Site from Power Commander but i dont found this :

You can find out how much you can vary your own PC by powering it up with a 9v battery (instructions on the Powercommander site www.powercommander.com

Can you help me ( a pic maybe ?)

and

i had read the Installation Instructions for the 2002 ZX12R PC III usb and i got following Questions :

1. What i have to do with the wire to rear brake light connectors ?? ( Fig.C+ D)

2. Also what i have to do with Ground wire from PCIIIUSB ?? ( Fig.E )

here the Link to the Install Instr.

Not sure what you are asking about the 9v battery. You can use a 9v battery to power up the PC when it is off the bike if you need to.

The rear brake light connector is the normal place a PC is connected on a ZX12R (and many other bikes). You won't have the right plug on a 750 turbo so just hardwire the unit in as per the instructions in this section.

The ground wire goes to ground (earth). Ignore the instructions on the Powercommander website and follow the ones here, it will make things a lot easier

The PC should come with a cable that connects to a 9v battery. They do when new, you might not be so lucky with a used unit.

Ok , thats not the greatest Problem .

Micron-Systems sells a Unit , but i tried to save this Money :P

http://www.micronsystems.de/pd810055648 ... egoryId=67

I hope i will wangle this all :D , my greatest Problem is the Boost sensor Resistor , this it what i

dont understand eyactly, i will need 1Sams1 Map .

I have 345ccm/33lbs Inj. and the GT1548 and i will use a GSL392 , i hope it will fit together :?:

You will have to take the connectors off the power commander to install it on your bike. There will be a black and a red wire both with silver rings. You connect the red to the plus(+) of the 9v battery and the black to the minus(-) pole of the battery. The lights of the power commander will cycle up and the down.

Boost sensor resistor rescales the output from the boost sensor to a 0-5 volt scale needed by the Power Commander instead of the stock value.

The 392 pump is bigger than you need. The 393 is plenty big enough for your injectors and will draw less current.

Here's the result of my testing with my bench PSU.
I was NOT able to try this on the bike (coz, as usual, it's in a million bits!!)..
However, I see no reason for this not to work the same on the bike, I don't believe that there will be much in the way of current drawn by the ECU from this sensor, so the 0.6 Watt (bog standard Maplin metal film) resistors should do just fine... (no guarantees are given here tho')!!
I've chosen high values for the divider resistors so that they present negligable load themselves, with only micro amps at most being drawn to ground)

Again, I've NOT TESTED THIS ON THE BIKE...

I dont find resistors with 0,6w i only can buy (that i do) 0,4w and 2w .

It is okay to use this resistors , and what it better 0,2w or 2w to use ?
