PC V
Re: PC V
Zed, the three that I have used all have the same amount of wire's coming from the pc. I have one from a Yamaha FJR1300, one from a Kawasaki ZG1400, and a Suzuki gsxr 1000. They did have a different # at the plug, but they spliced in 2 grounds on one wire about 3 inches away from the plug end, think the Kawaski one actually had a splice of of the power wire, but all in all they all have had the same amount coming from the PC that I used. Hope this help's

You should try to know everything about something & something about everything.

Re: PC V
When you have limited experience with the PCV + Autotune works fine?
He makes a good mapping for high boost pressure? You must test set no more manual mapping?
Can you post your AFR curve?
I would have liked an installation manual and wiring diagram.
I have not the reverse signal from the TPS must understand that now, a second will be built up?

Re: PC V
So if I understand the pcv that are made for any four cylinder bike should work on our 750? So if it is for. A zx6 or 1300 they would both work other than the connectors am I thinking right here?

Check first, some four cylinders have different firing cycles and/or additional injectors in the airbox. Few and far between but check anyway.turbo_Rob wrote:So if I understand the pcv that are made for any four cylinder bike should work on our 750? So if it is for. Essentially it is the advantage of the autotune and unless you presently have a very old PCIII then the fine tune per cylinder function is also a benefit if - as someone mentioned earlier in another thread, you want to richen #2 a little so its not so hot.
There's more besides, joyrides and a little house in the countryside.
Get the balance right.

Re: PC V
Thank you Mr SpeedyRodent! Yup, thats exactly why i was asking, just obviously you can pick a PC3 USB up quite cheaply compared to a PCV, if the PCV is worth the extra though i'd prefer to cash in my lottery ticket when one comes up. I don't know if the PC3 USB has the trim function, doubt it.FastFerret wrote:Essentially it is the advantage of the autotune and unless you presently have a very old PCIII then the fine tune per cylinder function is also a benefit if - as someone mentioned earlier in another thread, you want to richen #2 a little so its not so hot.

Re: PC V
Yes the pc3 usb has trim function, in "advanced mode" or something like that, in the "tools" file.
I've tried growing up, it just doesn't work for me, so I'll go on enjoying my childhood.

Thanks for the reply.
I got a good deal on a PCV for a GSXR 750 180 bucks. I guessed I could get my money back easy enough if it would not work. After reading you reply I started checking on the way it works on the GSXR (them having 8 injectors on the 2010 model) seems like it will only control 4 of the 8 injector from the article I was reading. http://www.powercommander.com/powercomm ... odule.aspx
After reading I figure it should work. I have not really jumped into the electrical side of things just yet but will be there soon and will have a million questions. But thanks for getting me thinking about this.

Yeah, according to the manual it has a 5% adjustment per cylinder either way (page 3)kawasakiman542 wrote:Yes the pc3 usb has trim function, in "advanced mode" or something like that, in the "tools" file.

That may not be anywhere near enough.
Or..

Re: PC V
In advanced mode each cylinder could be mapped independantly , but you would have to have the necessary monitoring devices.
