Please tell me this will be suitable for my bike? :D

Dave...
I'd just like to give this thread a bump and ask this question. :D

Received pc111 for Polaris today, from the main body of the unit it has 8 wires.
1 white
2 orange
3 red
4 purple
5 yellow
6 black
7 white & black
8 white & yellow

Is or are there enough wires to be able to use this pc???

Any help appreciated,

Cheers...Dave

Dave,
You might have to look at the wiring diagram for the Polaris to see how the PC wires up to it. I remember a while back having a little discussion with Lorcan about using the two cylinder PC,and Lorcan said, "if it had enough transistors it could be used". It is going to use( the equivalent of) one pair of wires to fire two injectors. Have you opened the wire harness,or are you still investigating? My thoughts are Red is +,black-, one pair =white and white/black,second pair =yellow and yellow/white, purple and orange wire may be just running through the plug (part of the harness) . This is purely from conjecture, you'll have to investigate further.

Thanks kman,
I have you opened the wiring harness and there are 8 wires described above.

When I got my zx14 pc5, I did an ebay search for zx14 throttle bodies so I could see the pictures and determine which plug fit which end. Also, in your pc3's install instuctions it should say which wire is tps and which is +. If it didn't come with instr, they're downloadable from Dynojet.

As i understand,connecting pc111 to our turbo's is not a plug & play thing.

I,m guessing each wire in the pc111 has related color and place to go "where ever"? :?

Is there anyone who has done this conversion that can tell me how many wires come from the pc body?

4 in, 4 out, boost, earth and power = 11.

How many have you got and what colours are they?

Sorry to cut in here again, but now that I see it,the black plugs are for the injectors and the white plug is the throttle position, which we use for boost sensor. On the stock (polaris) set up , the plug from the injector plugs into one of the pc plugs and the other pc plug goes onto the injector. But not being an electronics person I'm not sure if it is capable of driving two injectors. You will be running 4 injectors with a 2 injector system. You would wire it the same except you would be short 4 wires,2 to the ECU and 2 to the injectors.

You only need 1 to the ECU - there is only one yellow wire that splits into 4 anyway. The question is whether your two output wires will run 4 injectors. We run 16 injectors on 8 outputs on Storm, but the injector drivers on that are configurable. I'll ask Brad, he might know...

Lorcan, being batch fired two injectors on each wire technically wouldn't make a difference, other than circuit overload, which would be the only concern. I agree about the wires to the ECU,It will only be two wires out of the PC , instead of four to the one.

It's the overload I'm concerned about. I know it's batch fired...

probably talking crap here so excuse my ignorance and things are never this easy but.......

Problem: PCIII made to run two high imp. injectors but needs to run four.

Solution: Get four low impedance, equal to the two high impedance?

Won't this negate the load issue? Just a thought.
There's more besides, joyrides and a little house in the countryside.
Get the balance right.

I know you know they are batch fired,I learned from you! Sometimes my thinking runs through my fingers, If I don't make myself clear I get missunderstood.

Yes, you're right in that it is not plug & play.
I wanted to see the zx14's throttle body plug so I could determine which plug on the power commander was the injector IN and which was injector OUT. For my PC5, its ins/outs are reversed from the base diagram above (which has been mentioned as a possibility in the install thread).

On my PCIII for a Hayabusa I have different colors. They are as follows:

1 Red
2 Black
3 Black/White
4 Orange
5 Orange/white
6 Yellow
7 Yellow/white
8 Green
9 Green/White
10 Blue
11 Blue/White
12 Grey

I imagine the solid Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue are the output, judging by Lorcan's diagram, to the injectors and the black/ white is an auxiliary earth for the boost sensor.
