Pretty sure it was Mark (Mental)

What you may have missed is I also copied it to the server here, so if photobucket ever nukes it, we've still got it, and its one less dns call per page to wait for :)

i have a couple questions. 1 does the pc3 adjust the fuel according to boost pressure? 2 if i am only going to be running 24 psi with a pc3 would i need to adjust the output of the map sensor so that it is at 5v at 24 psi?

If you wire the PC3 the way it is suggested here then yes, it adjusts the fuelling according to boost pressure. You don't have to wire it that way, you could wire it to the TPS instead like a normal bike, but the results might not be as good.

The ECU still needs to see over 5 volts to do it's fuelling properly at 24psi, so I'd suggest you don't alter that. The PC3 needs a 5 volt (max) signal, so you either need to modify the signal for that or use two map sensors, which is what I ended up doing.

Hi Dave

1. Yes. It only affects the mixture when the engine is under boost. During normall running the mix needs to be set using the old methods. (race mode resistors, Fuel pressure and TPS.)

2. Yes. You will need to T off the pink boost sensor wire and feed that into the two resistors as show a few post ago. The pink wire needs to run unhindered into the ECU as before, its only where the signal goes into the PC we need to change.

Thats how Ive wired mine up. I'm sure someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong at all.

Just beaten by Lorc. There you go then.

Hi

The pc can be set to adjust the fueling on or off boost. Then the tps can be set in the middle, the fpr can be set to standard pressure ( or use the stndard reg) and race mode can also be set in the middle. Then the only thing that you would need to adjust is the map within the pc...........well that how I did it. Not to say it's the best way but it has worked for me.

thanks guys, i understand now. I was hoping to clean up the, off boost, running so i guess i would have to wire up the tps for that. there is that one lean spot at about 2000 rpms that kind of throws the off boost running out of whack.

Hi

No you dont have to wire up the tps to sort out the off boost. Just adjsut the figures in the boxes that relate to the off boost part of the map.

How did you set up the boost senser within the part of the pc that deals with the throttle position normally?
