Yesterday I rode the longest/furthest I have ever done, I did 70 miles! I expected to be starving hungry at the end, but actually I had no appetite at all. I felt quite queezy really. It was cold and windy, and my arse was aching like feck! However, I managed a quick 15 mile ride at lunchtime today too!
Think I might be getting there - sort of...

Mark, good on you supporting such a worthy cause. Sorry I can't be a financial support but I can share some osteoarthritis knowledge. Fish oil or krill oil will help to lubricate your joints reducing stiffness and wear. M.s.m capsules will assist with existing swelling and pain.glucosamine and chondroitin will assist with swelling and ongoing repair.thats all from personal experience. Also my boss is a cyclist. He is experimenting with some performance enhancing herbs from the naturopath which he says is aiding his performance and recovery and stamina. I'll ask for the names but I think its ginseng based. I also take magnesium for muscle recovery but you need to build the dose slowly or you will shit yourself.very untidy while wearing Lycra.
Will report back with more info
I'm not a gynocoligist but i'm happy to take a look for you

Thanks dude!
I am taking (and have been for two months now) Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Pure Cod Liver Oil, and Garlic. The pharmacist said the Glucosamine will take up to three months to start helping!!!
I've been taking some protein supplement shake thing after my longer rides for muscle recovery.
Appreciate all tips and hints!!!

Keep up the great works Mark let us know if the Glucosamine works after the 3 months. My joints sound and feel like breaking glass most of the time. They say it's good for joints. Thanks Rob

Had a decent training weekend just past - a moderate 30 on Saturday (first time in months without leg warmers and jacket on!!!), and 65 of the hardest miles I ever pedalled in the f***ing high gusty winds on Sunday. Tried Zipvit Elite energy drink, and a Zipvit energy gel at 55 miles - they actually seemed to help (could be psychological tho!!!)...

4 weeks on Saturday, it's getting real...
