Hey everyone,
just looking for a point of reference, what tire pressure do you run on modern 17" tires?
I'm currently will running Michelin Road 6 (120/170), which has a pretty soft sidewall.
Since I'm using the entire front end of a ZRX1100/1200, I looked at that as a guide, and the ZRX only gets 2.25/2.5 bar, which seems very low to me.
The rear tire is a ZX6R (5").
I used to run 2.3/2.75 bar on my 18" tires (110/150).
I also ran my previous 17" Pilot Road 3 and Road 4 tires at 2.4/2.8 bar.
What do you guys do?
I weigh 95 kg in my leathers, but the bike is lighter now thanks to modern components.
Cheers, Horst

Re: Tire pressure question 17" modern
It looks like everyone is gone. I haven't been here for a bit.
As for your pressure, I run 32/36 psi, which is about 2.2 and 2.4 bar, but I'm more interested in grip than long life. 120/70 and 180/55 sizes.
2.4/2.8 looks more like what I run in my Sportster which weighs a heap more than the Turbo.

Im still here . My turbo is stock so hard question to answer, I do have a zrx which wieghs about the same as turbo. In that I run 30-32 psi. I cant really notice a difference either way. Mostly I just try and check between rides to make sure they aren't low. I know not much help .
