The seller was very friendly but ultimately changed his mind about selling the bike. It seems I'm always a day late and a dollar short as many others sell within hours or days of listing
Anyhow, I remained positive and asked him to let me know if he changed his mind. Five months later he texts me out of the blue and tells me he's ready to sell!
It was a 12hr drive but the bike is now safe in my garage. It hasn't been ridden much in the past decade and as such, needs some expected maintenance which will be coming before another ride. However, the test ride was fantastic and the bike looks great! I can wait to start riding it regularly!
