Roland and I put the engine back in last nght. Was going to do a "how to" on our efforts but frankly, it would have been a "how not to". So if anyone else can tell me how to put the engine in without getting back ache, cut hands and sweating buckets please feel free. We put it in fully assembled minus the sub oil pan - it's in but it wasn't pretty.

That looks cool. :beer :dribble:

I find the easy way of installing the engine is firstly to make sure you go from the correct side. I also put the engine on its' side on the bike bench or floor and lower the frame down onto it. Once it is bolted in, winch it up to vertical and add front & rear suspension. Probably a method that would not have been am option for you. :popcorn

As mentioned, lowering frame over engine on its side is easiest. Also putting engine into assembled chassis is easy using a flatbed scissor jack under the cradle (with two people) but not with head and barrells installed. Otherwise it's back breaking and scratches stuff too much as too little room to play with when trying to fit with fully assembled engine.

Put it in before you put the head and barrels on.

First to 200mph (2006) and still the fastest (211mph)
Quickest turbo-only 8.69 @ 162mph
