Has anyone done this? Notice any performance difference? Any drawback?

You won't notice any difference. If you did you would have to gain some hp from a header wrap. More to keep heat off components to not damage them. The header/turbo being wrapped could cause pre mature failure of the parts (header & turbine housing both cracking) as seen this on other performance wrapped turbine header & turbine housings. They crack severely inside the diffuser area from excessive heat. Remember these turbine housings are (oops...my fault ! usually ) vernally cast iron with high nickel content in manufacture. :thumbup
