3D Printed Replica Items

Post by TurboRestorer »

Hi, I decided to create this catalogue instead of creating a new thread every time for 3D printed parts. I will update as I create new parts with OEM part numbers as well as pricing.

:cop PP payments to adrianhull80@googlemail.com AND PLEASE SUPPLY A DELIVERY ADDRESS AS I CANNOT SEND OTHERWISE.

NOTE: Posting to US & Australia is now £9 for a small jiffy bag, I will review postage & update. Other option would be to stop making parts period.

PM me for ordering. I hold a small stock of these items & can print any number as required so long as I have material availability.
Materials used: various nylons, PETG, Flex30D (synth. rubber).

This is a great idea !

I have one you need to make if you can..I can send you a good sample...many of us constantly need the waste gate actuator rubber supports. Is this something you can make with your 3D??? The rubber also has to be pliable to get thru the holes on waste gate.

Once we get this thread set up maybe you can post pics with each one can put this in How To :thumbup

I agree that this is a great idea and will keep our bike running longer.

I have a design suggestion for these dampers. If they are not pliable enough to go thru the hole perhaps they can be made in 2 parts, a washer and a washer with a shoulder that goes thru the hole.

We have been discussing the material and it will have to be viton rubber for the heat associated with how hot the turbo gets under use. It will most likely be pliable..I had even looked at a few PCV grommets that would work also but not found a correct dimension one to use...If Adrian can make these I will buy a large amount to use with every turbo rebuild. :thumbup Good idea Eckhard if we need to go that way

Hi, I cannot 3D print in Viton rubber (not available as filament), the closest I have available is 40D, this should take the temp. but needs to be tested on a bike if this is possible. Single part has now been modeled.
Hope to have a 'split' version later this week.

Any rubber that can get 100C+ is good, 40D will take 157C which is the highest temp. rubber I have to print but at a cost of £70/kg its not cheap.

This is why I try to test my parts before I offer them for sale. I have tested 40D in an oven to 130C & just becomes more flexible unless you seriously abuse it.

Hi, I've done the modelling & 4 prototype dampers for testing, they are with Charlie@Evergreen for testing.
Note: If this material is not up to it (I suspect it will be) I do have another to test with a higher temp. tolerance of 180C but 5 D shore harder.

Should have one set installed on my 750 this week and will send the other to be installed and tested and a weekly ridden hard 750 in TN. Then see how they do. :thumbup

Is there any potential of having one printed that is the large damper that holds the upper fairing to the frame? this would be the two lower bolts that get screwed in from the front of the bike on the very bottom of the upper fairing.
