Quick update, the cover arrived within two days and I have to say I'm very happy with it. The surface finish is "ribbed" from the 3D printing process as can be seen on the ebay add but it actually looks better up close . I am sure once on the bike you wont notice unless up close

I still need to do a fit test at the weekend but I am confident there will be no issue as I have held it up to a spare cover I have

The DFI silver is a transfer and I'm told "I have also done these covers in translucent red, blue, clear, green & also a satin painted black with glow in the dark ‘border & DFI’ just for fun"

I asked the supplier if he is on the forum, turns out he is, though not been on for a while .... TurboRestorer
Expect to see him post some pics of the covers on here soon

Hope this helps someone else :thumbup

Hi,
Here are some pics of my first 3D prints in various colours, these are not perfect by any means so I have designated these as 'Display use only'. They normally take 14 hours each to print & yes it does go wrong at the last minute sometimes!!

The green version shown has a colour difference which is down to the 5 part printing profile which should now be fixed subject to a test print.

£17 delivered in UK, £20.50 International.

Surge tank covers in black are being considered as ny next project, but these will be filled, primed & painted satin black if I go ahead with this.

The black one at the bottom is a different material called PLA the others are made from PETG which is what the black one GPZRFAN has got, so same quality as the coloured versions but black.

Have you tried an acetone dip to smooth and seal the surface of the printed part??

Any knowledge I have comes from reading.

I have a Folger Tech I am trying to get working again after adding an inductive sensor and alum bed. Once I have the firmware debugged I want to convert it to a 2020 frame. I also have an Orballo stainless steel frame Prusa type printer I need to assemble. Lots of work ahead of me.
