Anti-dive

Post by moizeau »

Hi all. I'm rebuilding a GPz11 A1 and was about to order the rebuild kit from GpzZone but they have ceased to exist. I have read through many of the related topics on here but haven't found the answers I'm after.
Basically I need a set of O-rings including the X-ring.
Does anyone on here have the dimensions for a complete kit so I could order them from a bearing/oil seal supplier please?
I have the drawings for the blanking plate (including the slot) but would rather repair the AD units if possible.
Thanks very much.

The x ring, I assume to be the seal which is a moulded seal onto a metal ring? If these are what you mean, they were discontinued from Gpz Zone kit some time ago. I had to re-use mine. I kept the parts I removed on the last rebuild. I'll measure the orings up in the week when I get into work. However, other than the x ring, there's a 6 x 30mm spring that collapses with wear, I don't know where you can source these, not unless there's a spring manufacturer who could copy them for you.

Thanks for the reply. The X ring was originally a square O-ring I believe. On the the 13/14mm head grub under the circlip? Any measurements you can offer will help loads. Cheers
I read a post earlier where a chap on here had them made but that was a couple of years ago

I know the one you mean, I bought a set from Adrian who sold them on this forum. I've kept them for spares but i can measure those too and send the sizes over.

I contacted Adrian just now, he doesn't have them anymore, he sold all the ones he had around 2018.
