Seat cover and gas tank question

First can the aspirated 84 gpz 750 tank be modified to replace a rusty turbo gas tank ?
Essentially the same tank with provisions for the fuel injection ? I don't have the turbo tank in hand because
The bike hasn't been purchased yet, want to make sure it's possible before the purchase
Also any OEM or quality seat covers for the gpz?
Haven't seen anything close with the iconic
Front and side molded stitching

I've not tried modifying a NA tank, but I'm sure I've heard of someone doing it here in the past. The tunnel needs to be widened to clear the frame spine, I think it's done by carefully beating it out. Also you'll need to make a boss and cut a hole and weld to tank to take the fuel injection check valve.

The tank underside differs a lot. If you compare the bike frames, you will see why they will not fit without a lot of work.
There is also the extra connection on the Turbo for the FPR.

A good sheet metal worker/welder could do a mod possibly, presuming the top/upper sections are the same.

Ok that's good to hear
Sheet metal, machining, welding
I have all on hand, tougher to find
Good bare tank so looking for a good option
Wanted to make sure the 84 1100 tank wasn't being used
I do know it's bigger than the standard 750
But wasn't sure the turbo 750 was the same size as the
Aspirated 750

No idea about size, but it probably holds less petrol due (entirely or partially) to the shape underneath. The float for the fuel levels differ as well. One vertical & the other horizontal.
As a matter of interest, and to help, what is your geolocation? Aus. I presume.

It would be a lot of work. Not worth it in my opinion. Different petcock, no fuel return valve, different shape all together etc. Etc.
I just read on here where a forum member in General Discussion has like 7 turbo fuel tanks, he will be letting go of. I would talk to him. Even with shipping from the UK it be worth it for maybe snagging a nice turbo tank. Look hard enough you find others as well.
Seat covers I have never seen, but really never looked either. Good motorcycle or auto appolstry shop and get it done the way you want. That's what was done to mine and I love it.
Good luck
