Connecting up a PC5 advise please.

Postby Betterthanfabio » Mon Feb 10, 2020 7:08 am

Hi my name is Paul & I was stupid enough to buy a Kawasaki turbo a long time ago.....
OK seriously I'm about to get the modified plenum powdercoated. When I get that back the 1100 t/bodies, 370 injectors & larger boost pipe from Charlie & PC5 will be going on once I have a few more bits collected.
What I want to know is what connectors do I need & WTF do I get them? It's a PC5 off a CBR1000RRRRRR....Fireblade thingy so the injector connectors & TPS? connectors are different. Can I get connectors that will fit the turbo injectors or do I have to butcher the wiring? :?
I'm not putting it on just yet so I'm not after a complete how to but some advise on where you guys have connected up the wiring would be great
I take it you connect to the TPS, boost sensor, temp & of course the injectors.
You should try to know everything about something & something about everything.

The other thing that would be handy is a map I can use just to get it to run so I know I've connected it all up right.
Relevant mods are 810 kit, billet turbo from Charlie, 1100 TB's, larger transfer pipe, 370 injectors, lightly ported head, K&N filter.
You should try to know everything about something & something about everything.

Hi Paul, my name is Pete, and I am in a drinking club with a motorcycle problem.
I think you are one step ahead of me with throwing stupid amounts of money into a hobby,( just recently bought my 7th bike) I too have asked myself the question of when I get a PCV which wires do I connect, and does it matter which bike the PCV came from?
The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude towards the problem.

Seems that any 4 cyl bike will do. Plugs are different but the units the same.
My main question here (atm). What do you do about the different injector connectors?

Thanks again Jez.
I already have the RC370? injectors I got from Charlie a long while back.
The Fireblade injector connectors are different to those. :? Don't really want to butcher the wiring on the bike.

So what do I ask for to get some electrical connectors for the std turbo or 370 injectors? Are they EV1 type?

Your best bet is looking here & getting in touch with them if you are unsure. They will help you more than I can. :humour

That's what I was after!
Sorted. Coming from Good ol E-bay. I thought they were EV1.
Charlie Yes the RC370 are the same but I'm cutting the connectors off the Fireblade PCV and using these so it's a straight plug in job & I dont have to molest the wiring in the bike too much.
I was reading some of the posts on here about fitting the PCV & has anyone fitted one up using the TPS AND boost wire & is this possible?
Am I reading it right that we use the boost pressure & not the TPS at all?
I'm atarting to understand more how this works & Jez has been kind enough to E-mail be some diagrams & maps to look at. Once all the work is done the Autotune will be fitted as well. Not sure yet If I'll plug it into the H pipe or get another exhaust made. It's looking a bit difficult to find a good spot to hook up to the exhaust.

I tried with TPS and it cost me set of pistons. I then went to boost only. It works.

OK Guy's I had my injector leads turn up today. Just another of many bits.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/PKvWhj4LJDytracFA
The top set is the leads coming from the PC5 that was fitted to a Fireblade. I need to put the Bosch connectors on to make the PC5 just plug straight in to the bike & the RC370 injectors nice & neat.
Do I just cut the black wire & connect to the green & white wires as shown? :popcorn
As I go through this and eventually fit it up & get it operational we could pin this thread & call it "Fitting a PC5 for Dummies"
