Hi Zedturbo, that is actually a pic from Charlies bike. Ours are the same tho, hayabusa front end and triple tree. I am happy with the height of the bars and the angle. I know Charlie did mess with his a bit, not sure where he ended up at that was comfortable for him.
Thanks for the compliment too. I still enjoy riding this bike the most on Saturday mornings down the coast road over all my other 1980's bikes.

Yes the bracket was modified and under the stem bolt for the AF Gauge. Gave a good look to the set up. The front Busa bar mount bracket machined some 1/2 inch spacers raise the bars up from the ends. Then added Heli Bars for a touch more up and out closer to factory. Felt much better then the harder layover.

Thanks! I found out it's a stock part but bolt pattern is specific. I'll just run a superbike kit for now. :beer

Have been busy, as I have not been working due to a shoulder reconstruction. Have made myself a solo seat.
Picked up a $80 seat, tore it apart, cut down the plastic base at the rear and plastic welded it together again to align it to the duck tail height.
Cut the foam up with an electric bead knife ( she didnt see anything!) and trimmed it down to give me space for fiberglass.
Now cut me some slack as this is my first attempt at fiberglass and trying to get a good shape and finish. ( still getting a few glass splinters out of my fingers!)
Pictures mansplain it.
I think its pretty good, so off to the paint shop tomorrow to hear how bad my finish is!
After that I will go to the upholsterer to get a custom solo seat cover made up.
I was thinkin the hump in black, the seat in black with some red stitching and piping around it to give it a bit of bling! Opinions??

Looking really good Pete.

Personally I am a fan of the black seat with red stitching and red barrel, of course on our bikes cause there red & black. I just bought a seat from a forum member with the red barrel around it. I posted it in my project section.

For me the new seat is a much needed, better looking upgrade, as I think it would for your bike as well. :thumbup
