Hello again, I'm in the process of restarting my 810, 6 spd injection build for my z650 viewtopic.php?f=15&t=17765
the injector rail & injectors are from a gpz 1100 & using a 5v dc power source I can only get 2 of the injectors to fire, I am unsure as to the age of the rail & injectors so they may be duff/blocked & as I have no idea as to their suitability for the size of motor I'm building does anyone have any clues to the cc output of injectors or even the type I should be looking for?

Do you have access to compressed air? if so back flush the nozzles first by blowing into the spray end after soaking in carb cleaner. this should brake the pintle free of the old gas varnish. This is what I did to mine many decades ago but I used 2 'd' cell batteries from a flash light to keep the coil energized and prevent burning out the coil while flushing cleaner through in both directions once I got it to open.
Since this is going to be a non turbo engine but you are running larger throttle bodys over the carbs I would start with the same flow rate as stock turbo injectors and you can adjust the duty cycle as needed. Just like putting a higher flow carb on a car you will need the extra fuel. Also I'm unsure if the microsquirt is low impedance compatible so using factory Kawasaki inj may be out of the question, besides newer injectors respond much faster as they don't have to move the huge slug of a pintle to control fuel delivery.
Have you considered getting the gpz 1100 ecu and harness to start out? It is a basic duty cycle map to tps position and may be easier to begin with. You could than use the original injectors to get the bike running first to save lots of head aches, no building of maps from scratch. than later with an oscilloscope, determine the duty cycle for your initial setup on a microsquirt for a later install.

The 1100 injectors only flow 180cc vs the turbo injectors at 240cc. So do not sue the 1100 injectors being to small. I would suggest getting the new NAPA Injectors that are 300cc at $19.95 each..good deal and work perfectly. Use them in my built 810.
Thanks for that info Charlie, however only a slight issue I don't have a blower fitted its a n/a build :-(, I realise its a turbo site but you lot are so active with trying to keep your motors running, its the only place that covers fuel injection on the old kwak motors that I have come across on the net so I do a little stalking on here

My bad. Should have read more accurately. I would try the 1100s since you have them if you get them working. Nice part is if there a bit rich just back off the fuel pressure to get it tuned if rich.

Have you researched these and other aspects of such a build on the MS Forums? (I drop by there once in a while, haven't noted mention of this project).
That's where all the development questions for doing a Microsquirt will be answered, I'm sure others have done similar bikes to yours & not rocket science.
Not sure where you're located, I have helped a couple of others going this route but I'm in BC.

When did the flow tests for the 750 injectors and the 1100s the yellow and green tops were both 240cc even tho was believed the yellow tops were more. The 1100 injectors being on a aspirated larger engine were only 180cc injectors and to small for even a stock 750 turbo
if you have access to a multimeter check the resistance of the injectors ,should be around 3ohms
if they are all the same then the injector coils are ok and the problem is that the non firing ones are physically jammed .
you can try back flushing and/or cleaning them in an ultrasonic bath.
pulsing with voltage whilst in the bath may help but applying constant voltage/current,unless limited,when they are jammed shut could burn them out.
