Hi all,
Have fitted a GSXR600 K2 swing arm (the one that's the same length as standard), bought a decent ZR750 shock after reading on here about it being the favoured swap out, went to install it & found the the springs rest on the swing arm cross member and the bottom shock mount doesn't line up with the pivot linkage hole as the swing arm is holding the shock up. Wasn't expecting that as I thought it might be a straight swap. Can anyone who has also encountered this advise what they did to overcome it? Initially it looks like you need to machine some of the swing arm cross member away to allow the shock to drop down but not too sure how safe that's going to be... I have looked through the rear end swaps section but cant see anything about it. Many thanks.

Show us a pic of the shock you used. I used a Hagon Shock. There not all same on that model.
The other thing with the rear end swap you will have to make new dog bones that are longer to set the rear end height correctly. Do not try use stock dog bones. Only way around that would be to figure out how to have a shock custom made or matched up that is shorter and by how much? I made new dog legs with adjustable hiem joints left and right to adjust ride height dial in the rear suspension. You will also need to make some spacers at the front pivot to get the angle correct.

Re: ZR750 shock & GSXR600K2 swing arm problem
Shock hole crs 317mm (std seem to be 307mm), GSXR cross member 48mm dia. GPz cross member 41mm dia, std also has a recess for further clearance
Just looks like a combination of larger dia GSXR cross member & pivot link needing to be longer? No one else seems to have posted issues about this tho' so not sure if I'm doing something wrong, using the wrong items, or everyone else has figured it out except me....
