Good question. Not a fan of coating inside the turbine throat area. I had a Porsche turbo come in back in the early 2000s with it and it was shredding off in like confetti into the turbine wheel. That may have been a exception but I said to myself not doing that to any housings coated. My ceramic coater also says they don't do the inside either.
Altho you can see some porosity it really is smooth. You can not feel it. I could have taken more out but would feel same. Should have seen how rough that casting was when started! Was pretty rough. I should have shot a pic of it before.

That would make sense C. I didn't think it would come off, but I suppose it could.
