I recently purchased a Dec 83 turbo, It was imported from the U.S.A in 2020. Overall the bike is in good condition with 23000 miles with a few minor electrical issues and missing parts that I am slowly fixing/acquiring. Plans to bring it back to as original as possible but I know that is hard with how old they are now. I will also be putting her on Historic registration that allows 60 days a yr of use in a log book scheme in my state that is much cheaper than full registration.
Its Great to find a dedicated forum with such a large amount of information, I did a bit of research before purchasing a 750 turbo over other makes but have learnt so much more since then and will look into all the recommended upgrades available to keep it reliable as can be.
I will put up some photos soon when I have the bike back together ,tank is off waiting for some genuine rubber tank supports that I found where shot/ replaced with a bit of fuel hose when I went hunting for the missing horn wires
