Hello from new Turbo owner

Post by 738T »

Hello everyone,

I've wanted a Turbo since 1986 (the year I first saw one) and I finally bought one this week. My budget means a tidy example was out of the question, but I've restored a few bikes before and I hope I can do this one justice. I'm familiar with the GPZ900R but I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions regarding the 750 Turbo and requests for spares.

Thanks, Lee

Welcome...
For what it's worth having restored both a GPZ900 and a 750 Turbo, I would say the 900 is possibly harder but plenty of spares... Where as the 750 is quite easy being an air cool but spares are getting thin on the ground and therefore pricey. So with this in mind don't commit any parts to the bin apart from knackered pads, spark plugs and batteries. And it's worth buying spares when they come up on fleabay,..in particular electronics like ECU and CDI units... :thumbup

Welcome Lee. I used to hang out with some biker mates in Bournemouth, Ringwood and Christchurch. In pubs, mostly... :beer
