My cam cover is looking tatty and has been painted black all over at some point. What should the finish be on the DOHC lettering and surround, bare ally? Lacquered? Silver paint? How is it best to achieve this?
So I tried the headers in a spare head and they fit perfectly. Tight, but perfect. It turned out the collector was touching the front frame crossmember. I expect yours are probably more accurate, Jez. The figures I obtained were from a less reputable forum. I don't know what the extra bit is. My first thought was a throttle stop, but it doesn't look like one on closer inspection.
Bit of dry building going on here to find out what needs doing. The new turbo from Charlie fits like a glove, but like the GT22 the grill won't be going back on as the turbo too far forward.
