Mine made 196hp at 23psi with heavy springs too, but it was slipping. It takes a good eye to spot it on a dyno chart, but it's there.

Re: Still Issues

OK we can pretty much discount the pipe, filter, race mode, 810 kit, and 3 angle valve job as we all know these have no influence on how the bike runs (unless you have also fitted resistors as part of race mode). Which leaves all the standard components, the FPR and the BOV. You say it "bumps&q...

Re: Race engine

Fair point Charlie, but I know that it works perfectly well that way from running Storm, which has the same arrangement but with the injectors even further back.

Re: Race engine

I've sized it about the same as stock but the ports will effectively be shorter. On a NA engine this would help shift power up the rev range, I'm not sure what it will do on a turbo engine. The injectors will be further from the head, giving the (alcohol) fuel more time to vapourize, and with no thr...

Re: Race engine

Here's what I am thinking for the plenum. Single 50mm throttle body on the inlet Tapered runners from the plenum to the head 40 to 35mm Injectors direct shot into the runners Radius corners into the runners for air straightening Two half construction like the original, but machined out of billet. An...

Re: Connecting up a PC5 advise please.

I used 370's with mine as well but installed them together. In hindsight it was overkill as I had to remove much fueling in the software. When I removed the pc5 i went with the Napas It's not overkill if you're going to run 30psi boost, and modern injectors can run much shorter duration than the ol...

Re: Race engine

Mick's working on the 904 block tonight, opening up the cam chain tunnel to make the guides fit, as it was originally made for a Z650. He's a lovely bloke really. I take back all those things I said about him.

Lower and with 2" more wheelbase. Still wheelies, but ran 9.29.

That run it picked it up in first gear and only put it down at the finish. Still ran 10.4!

Re: 9s on a budget.

You're going the right way with lowering it and with chasing more power. If you think wheelies are a problem at 14psi though wait til you fix the boost leaks and see 24psi! I've run 9s at stock wheelbase and foot shifting but it takes some riding!
