Re: over 200 hp engine.how you solve the clutch problem?
Are the plans for the lockup open source? Or does each have their particular design. I found a design on the net for a Suzuki but it would have to be adapted to fit a Turbo. I started on that but the effort fizzled out.

Re: Starting a laid up turbo
Do a search for after storage start up checks. Failing that do at least what I described below or better still wait for the experts to chime in. I am not the best guy for this but I would remove the sump and check for black crud(shredded clutch dampers), remove the banjo bolt from the turbo oil feed...

Do the 650 cases have the ability to attach a scavenge pump??? And what about that double sump where the turbo drains into?

Do a search on this site for shutting down the warning light. If memory serves well some folks connect it to the +ive terminal to shut off the light.

Re: Fork spring length confusion
capt says "has springs which are 52.705mm[/b][/b]. My "spare" forks off an E1 that had 18K miles which was totaled (rear ended) in 2002 have 50.165mm" Your units seem to be off there. 52.705 mm is 2.075 inches in length. Are you talking about diameter? Or might that be 52.705 ce...

Re: Help me identify this issue - VIDEO
Look at hr bolt that extends beyond the casting in the foreground. it is the wrong length for that location I am pretty sure which leads me to suspect the quality of the assembly of the rest of the top end. It may be worth taking the valve cover off and checking it out. The paint also seems bulged o...

Re: T(fing)PS
Here is an alternative thought that would make us independent of the old unobtainable hardware. It should be possible to mount a resolver, measures angular rotation, on the throttle shaft, connect it to an Arduino, an open source programmable microcontroller, to do the interpretation and get a usabl...

Re: Have you re adjusted pressure for your fatter injectors?
From a theoretical point of view, wouldn't it be better to have a smaller injector and keep the pressure up around 45lbs to have the best spray pattern and better fuel atomization?
