I’ve had my turbo a long time now, joined the group on dial up in 2002. At that time a lot of the focus was on modification with standard bikes in the minority. As time as passed it seems that restoration to standard is now the way most owners go.
I’m going to let mine go next year so would it be ...

Re: 20th Anniversary of 750turbo.com
I joined 19 years ago, I still had dial up internet then so each page took an age to load. I don’t visit the site that often but it is the forum that I have been a member of the longest ( by a good margin).

Re: Stands and lean angle/wheel height off the ground....
My forks are of a 916 so a little bit short. It doesn't lean much on the side stand and is easy to push it off. As a consequence the ground clearance is also a bit less.

Re: Why are other bikes worth more than ours?
Because of the 174,000 bikes sold originally a good percentage probably want to own one again.
The turbo never sold as well so not many people want to own one again.
I think it is the same with most classic vehicles. I watch some classic car shows on TV and some old guy is buying a real crap car ...

Re: voltage spike ????
After a quick google search for "capacitor to smooth dc voltage" it said to connect the capacitor in parallel with the load. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT_USAhvuizysVAlz-4MB7jNhOsJhRZUg4NOvFK9oQoAB5NtQPK

Could you use a capacitor in the circuit to smooth the voltage?

Re: Agreed value insurers in UK
I guess the Mot is required is that it is kind of proof that it is "real" bike and not just a logbook that someone is trying to claim a theft payout for.

Re: Battery rubber band thingy
I've had a motobatt in mine for a while now. On a bike that doesn't get used much it has lasted much longer than the usual ( admittedly cheap) lead acid that I used to buy. I had to take the rubber plugs out of the battery hold down bracket so it would fit ok. I didn't want to put it under too much ...

Re: Any Californians out there
I'd like to see the Redwood trees. I bought some giant Redwood seeds and some Dawn Redwood seeds about 25 years ago. The Dawn Redwood was believed to have been extinct for millions of years until some were found in a remote part of China, A small attractive decidious conifer. At the time my son was ...

Re: Overboosting
Is the pipe/connector from the turbo to the waste gate actuator clear and not blocked. The boost control is very simple with not a lot to go wrong. If the waste gate actuator works and opens the waste gate when you connect an air source to it then the only thing I can think to check is that air ...
